Alfresco releases first CMIS implementation

This post on John Newton's blog (CTO of Alfresco) about the CMIS standard is of interest for everyone who is dealing with document and web content management systems:

For those who are not aware of CMIS, it stands for Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) and it "promises to become the SQL for Content Management".

No doubt that it has a big potential...the futur will tell us if this will be a revolution or not.
